very strong

While it's counterpart M series driver drill lacks a bit in power this baby makes up the difference and more. I use this to drill my 2-1/8" lockset holes, about a half dozen here and there, no problem! And when on low, be careful she will hurt you if you don't have a steady grip.
Because of its extra weight I only use it for the heavy duty stuff or of course the hammer drill action. I use my smaller lightweight drills for everything else.
I bought the Milwaukee 5 piece combo kit a while back which had a rebate for an extra battery with the deal. Then I bought this hammer drill (bare tool only) for $99. On Amazon, haven't seen it that cheap since. The battery level indicator lights was the clench-er for me, that is sooooo sweet !!

I bought this drill as a refurbished model, and it works very well.
Tons of power, nice controls for switching between modes, and a very nice metal chuck.
Battery life is excellent, and as with all M18 tools, the battery life indicator is awesome.
I've always owned milwaukee drills, and this upholds my decision to keep purchasing them.

Plenty of power.

This is a nicely balanced drill with plenty of power. It is easy to change from hammer mode to screwdriver or drill mode. One nice feature is that the clutch setting for the screwdriver mode does not affect the other two modes. So you do not have to keep adjusting it when changing from drilling a pilot hole to driving a screw.
This drill has a ratcheting key-less chuck that helps prevent bits from slipping.
One thing to be aware of is that this model will not use the compact batteries. The full size batteries cost more, and weigh more, but they also give you a lot more power. This drill is balanced for the full size batteries as well.
If you need Milwaukee durability, this is definitely a drill to consider. Just do not expect a light weight drill. This is a drill designed for use by construction workers on the job site. It is tough enough to survive that environment and keep on going.
