I bought this Makita drill to replace an older brand name cordless drill. I already have a Makita cordless screw gun, so already had batteries and a charger.
For those who complained that the drill doesn't come with a charger and batteries...read the description!
I finally got to really use it last night. I had to drill about a dozen 1" holes for wiring during a remodel project. Some of the holes had to be drilled through 4-1/2" of wood.
The drill performed flawlessly..

a very good drill. It is powerful and light. Goes well with bl1830 batteries. BL 1815 do not last for very long (not a problem if you are in a shop and if you can charge every hour). Most packages are sold with bl1815

i have been using this drill at work ever since i got it, and it has been functioning perfectly. it is reasonably small to get into tight places. it has a nice power cut feature for voltages to low and spikes. the only thing id say is that its hammer function isnt super intense, but it works pretty well none the less. great value.
