powerful but be carefull

I have used this drill for larger holes 3/4in to 4in.The only problem was that the drill extra handel broke while I was drilling a 4 inch hole ,and this caused the drill to spin jamming my wrist dislocating my shoulder .The handel is plastic not made for torque.You can't replace the handel and the drill has too much torque not to have one.

okay, but the chuck and handle slip a lot.

I am not sure if I got a dud or what, but the second handle slips a little, no matter how tight I made it (another review said the same thing) and even the chuck slipped with a 1/2" shank bit. It seems VERY durable and high quality otherwise, especially for the price and I have had good luck with Skil products previously, so I genuinely think the chuck in the one I got was simply bad. I returned it to Amazon and since I was in a rush and bought a more expensive alternative locally, I did not replace it.
I am thinking my experience is likely isolated, so gave it four stars for the overall probust construction and design.

This drill really does the job. It really has some good torque. Durable and affordable. Not sure what the others are talking about the second handle. It seems great to me. It is removable and can be positioned all around the drill and locks into place. I love this drill.
