This is my second Ryobi product and I find that it exceeds expectations. It provides the power I need for drilling various types of materials and is very dependable.

Dependable workhorse

I boughs mine about 6 years ago The battery lasted about two years of intense use. I bought a new set of battery then a new set of lithium ion tools. The drill still works great, so does the flashlight, the circular saw never lived to my expectations though. With the new set came a new drill, but I can't get myself to retire this one, it just keeps on going and going; so it goes back on it's hook on the peg board of my shop. While it's new Li Ion battery goes to the charger. I use it to power my corn mill when I mill my grain to make beer. I used it to put decking screws on a 400 square feet deck and all the drilling to go with it. I got my money worth and some. I would recommend buying it as part of a set as well. The new green version is just as good.

Good Weekend Warrior Type Drill.

I bought this drill with a combo that included a battery, circular saw, light and radio for $59.99 at Home Depot. I had just bought a home and need some tools on a limited budget. The drill has served me well. After about 2 years of good use, the battery is dying. The drill is not fancy or super light, but it's a good solid drill with decent power. If you are not buying Lithium Ion batteries, then these drills are almost disposable because these combo packages are cheaper than buying the battery itself. Keep your eyes open a Ryobi combo package deal.
